Office Lactation ConsultationApproximately 60 minutes

Receive personalized, one-on-one breastfeeding and infant feeding support in our comfortable office. Whether you're preparing for your baby's arrival or navigating challenges after birth, we'll work together to help you meet your feeding goals with evidence-based, compassionate care.

 

Services may include:

  • Breastfeeding assessment and latch support

  • Pumping and flange fitting

  • Milk supply concerns

  • Bottle feeding and paced bottle feeding guidance

  • Infant weight check

  • Personalized feeding plan

  • Referrals and follow-up recommendations, as needed

 

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email with instructions to complete your intake forms through our HIPAA-compliant patient portal. Please complete all required paperwork and submit payment at least 24 hours before your appointment.

Virtual Lactation Consultation- Approximately 45-60 minutes

Receive expert breastfeeding support from the comfort of your home through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video consultation. Virtual visits are ideal for families who need guidance, education, troubleshooting, or follow-up support without traveling.

 

Services may include:

  • Breastfeeding and pumping support

  • Latch observation via video

  • Milk supply concerns

  • Bottle feeding guidance

  • Return-to-work pumping plans

  • Personalized feeding plan

  • Referrals and follow-up recommendations, as needed

 

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email with instructions to access our HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform and complete your intake forms. Please complete all required paperwork and submit payment at least 24 hours before your appointment.

Home Lactation ConsultationApproximately 75–90 minutes

Receive expert breastfeeding support in the comfort of your home. This one-on-one consultation is designed to help you overcome feeding challenges, answer your questions, and create a personalized plan to help you reach your breastfeeding goals.

 

Services may include:

  • Comprehensive breastfeeding assessment

  • Latch and positioning support

  • Pumping and flange fitting

  • Milk supply concerns

  • Bottle feeding and paced bottle feeding guidance

  • Baby weight check

  • Personalized feeding plan

  • Referrals and follow-up recommendations, as needed

Weight checks can we scheduled with an IBCLC for a 15 minute appointment.

 Back to Work Planning we discuss ways to maintain your supply and create a schedule with pumping. We create a pumping schedule for you to keep. We discuss ways to talk to your employer about your pumping needs and information on pumping in the workplace. We discuss paced bottle feeding ​and what that looks like and how to do it. Also we discuss, how to talk to your childcare provider about Breastmilk and feeding baby breastmilk​.

MelaMama Signature Fourth Trimester Home Visit : $450

BIPOC Support group creating to be a safe space for moms of color to gather to discuss lactation, motherhood, and postpartum. Attending Support Group meetings is proven to help you breastfeed longer. Get your questions answered by one of an IBCLCs during the first 30 minutes. Socialize with other families and learn from each other.

The Prenatal Breastfeeding Masterclass, you’ll learn in advance how to hold and latch a baby, how to avoid pain, how to tell if baby’s eating well, and best practices to bring in a full milk supply. Parents who learn lactation before birth often have better outcomes and less stress. This class covers everything you need 

to get to know to get off to a great start with lactation such as: latching positions, how often to feed, how to know if the baby is drinking, building a good milk supply, when and how to introduce pumping and bottles, pain and other common issues — plus how to solve them, nutrition while nursing, & introducing solid foods.

We work with The Lactation Network for some Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, Aetna, United Healthcare, Empire, & MultiPlan. If you have any of those insurances, click the link above and submit your information.

FSA/HSA always accepted.

MelaMama Maternal Wellness is a nonprofit and we currently have funds to cover Medicaid clients and clients with no insurance. If interested in the grant funded consultation, please complete the referral form below.

Through Navigate Maternity, Indiana residents can now apply to receive a Navigate Maternity Kit—completely covered by insurance. This kit includes:

  • A blood pressure cuff that has been clinically tested specifically on pregnant and postpartum moms to ensure accurate readings

  • A digital scale to support healthy weight monitoring throughout your journey
